The mother of a teen gunned down on St. Joseph Street in Baton Rouge is asking for assistance.

Lashawn Thompson has set up a memorial fund at Capital One bank. The account is listed under her name and donations will be used to help pay for funeral expenses.

Baton Rouge police say 16-year-old Patrick Williams was shot and killed in broad daylight on January 13.

Police arrested Devon Bowie for the crime. Bowie is William’s cousin and is accused of shooting Williams after an argument.
