On Wednesday, Aug. 31, Deputies with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary that was in progress at a home on Daggs Street in Belle Rose. When they got there, witnesses said that two males were seen going into the home, then they threw weapons out of a window at the back of the home.

A neighbor who saw the whole thing happen yelled at the teens, saying that he was going to call the cops. That’s when the boys took off and ran away on foot. A shotgun and rifle were found near the burglarized home.
