A Baton Rouge mother was arrested after she allegedly threatened a class of 5th grade students and their teacher because she believed her child was being bullied.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Magnolia Woods Elementary. Officials say the suspect, Donna Wilson, 44, of Baton Rouge, escorted her child to her classroom, walked in and confronted her child’s teacher, as well as the students.

Wilson allegedly threatened to have her husband return to the school and made reference to the school-shooting incident in Newtown, Connecticut.

School administrators contacted authorities and Wilson was located by deputies at her home on Gardere Lane. Officials say she admitted to making the threats and told deputies that she did not mean to reference the Connecticut incident. She then apologized for her comments.

Wilson was arrested and charged with Terrorizing. She will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
