A mother/daughter duo has been arrested for stealing detergent and soap at a Eunice store.

Officers responded to Family Dollar in the 1000 block of East Laurel Ave in reference to two shoplifters on the premises.

Employees pointed out the two shoplifters to the officers who were identified as Sparkle Anderson, 26,  and her mother Adrienne Patrice Savoy aka Adrienne Patrice Anderson, 45.

Witnesses told officers that Sparkle was picking out the items and handing them to her mother and the mother was placing the items inside her purse.

When the shoplifters saw the officer enter the store, the mother removed the items from her purse and placed them on the shelf where they were standing.

The items included two liquid Gain laundry detergents($5.50 each), one Gain Sunshine($5.00), and one citrus Soft Soap($2.85); the items were valued at $18.85.
