BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The First Circuit Court of Appeals has approved District Attorney Hillar Moore's decision to charge Tyler Coleman, 16, as an adult.

Coleman allegedly shot Metro Council member Chandler Loupe's 15-year old son back in February. He's facing Attempted Second-Degree murder and Armed Robbery charges.

Coleman could get up to 99 years behind bars if convicted
