Slidell police say a masked gunman is kidnapping young women, making them drive to an automatic teller and making them withdraw money, and taking their phones so they cannot call police.

Detective Daniel Seuzeneau says each victim was in her 20’s, taken from a restaurant, store or shopping center parking lot, and released unharmed.

He says the latest was about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday as two women left a Cracker Barrel restaurant.

He says another woman was taken outside a Big Lots at around 8:30 p.m. on December 26, and two college students were kidnapped at the Main Street Center on December 13.

Seuzeneau says police believe the same man committed all three crimes. They're asking for help from the public, and businesses are offering $3,000 for tips leading to the arrest and conviction of the criminal.
