Marksville High, Elementary placed on lockdown after armed man made threat on campus

MARKSVILLE, LA (NBC33) — A high school and elementary school were placed on lockdown after an armed man threatened a school secretary, officials say.
According to the NBC affiliate KALB, Marksville High and Elementary were placed on lockdown during the morning on Friday, Aug. 30. After the man made the threat, law enforcement was called in to investigate.
Officials say the students are safe and the campuses are secure. No further information could be provided at this time.
