Man surrenders to police for connection to residential burglaries

SHREVEPORT, LA — A Louisiana man is behind bars this afternoon charged in connection with a residential burglary in Shreveport’s South Highlands neighborhood.
Ronald H. Norwood, Jr., 35, of Shreveport, surrendered himself to detectives today after learning they held a warrant for his arrest. Norwood, Jr. was subsequently booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count each of felony illegal possession of stolen things and felony theft. His bond has been set at $50,000.
This marks the third arrest in an investigation into at least two home burglaries in Shreveport over the past several days.
Brian Marzula, 30, and Jarret Ardoin, were arrested by Bossier City Police late last week and both of those men are being charged with one count of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling relative to a burglary at a home in the 300 block of Gladstone Boulevard and one count of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling relative to a burglary at a home in the 400 block of Gloria Avenue.
Investigators are looking into other burglary cases in an effort to determine if the three men are responsible for other similar crimes in the area.
