LAFAYETTE, LA (NBC33) — A 20-year-old man was stabbed twice in the back during a fight at a Lafayette nightclub.

The Lafayette Police Department reports that the incident happened inside of the Shakers nightclub shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26. The victim told officers that someone stabbed him during the fight.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators are currently working to locate a suspect. They could not provide a description at this time.
