Man facing burglary charges now accused of looting during Hurricane Isaac

HAMMOND, LA (NBC33) — A Hammond man believed responsible for looting during Hurricane Isaac was arrested during an investigation that first began two months ago.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that Wesley Naramore, 31, was arrested after he was connected to “numerous” burglaries committed in the parish. We’re told Naramore might be connected to other cases in surrounding parishes.
Officials say Naramore was first taken into custody on July 26, 2012. He was charged with two counts of Burglary, Theft by Fraud, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Since his release Naramore has been connected to additional crimes. Investigators say they believe he’s responsible for looting homes and vehicles during Hurricane Isaac.
Naramore is now additionally charged with two counts of Looting and Theft by Fraud. We’re told additional charges are forthcoming.
