ORIGINAL:  Detectives are investigating two robberies believed to have been committed by the same subject within a two-day period.

On October 14 at 2:15 a.m., a black male walked into a Circle K located on Plank Road and approached the register under the pretense of making a purchase. When the clerk opened the cash register drawer, the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed cash out of the drawer. He then ran out of the store and fled the scene in a white Impala driven by another black male.

The second robbery occurred today at approximately 11:25 a.m. Detectives believe it was the same subject who entered a Jack in the Box Restaurant, located on Scenic Hwy. and pretended to be looking at the menu in front of the counter. When another customer made a purchase and the employee opened the cash drawer, the suspect reached across the counter and removed an undisclosed amount of money from the drawer. He turned and ran out of the restaurant and was last seen running west on Chippewa St.

The suspect is described as a black male, light “pale” skin, 5’10” tall, 150-160 lbs., thin build with a short curly afro.

Anyone with information or is able to identify the suspect, is asked to contact the Armed Robbery Division at 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP (7867).
