Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — East Baton Rouge Parish Deputies say they've booked a man on a string on bank robberies in the area.

Paul McCarty, 47, was charged earlier this afternoon.

Deputies say they were able to link him to the armed robbery of a Regions Bank on Siegen, a Whitney Bank on Industriplex, and the attempted robbery of a Chase Bank on Sullivan road. Deputies say he's also linked to a Regions Bank robbery on Bluebonnet.

We're told McCarty was on parole for robbery in Jackson, Mississippi.

The investigation is still continuing.
