Iberia Parish (NBC33) — On January 9, deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a kidnapping in the area of the 1500 Block of Rogers Street in New Iberia.

When officers arrived, they spoke to a witness who advised he was walking with a 24 year-old female when the male suspect, Christopher Adams, 25, wanted to speak to the female victim.

When the woman refused, Adams forced her into his vehicle and they drove off.

The suspect’s vehicle was then located on Dore Alley in New Iberia. Officers found both Adams and the victim nearby.

Adams was charged with simple kidnapping and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
