Thibodaux, La — On Thursday evening around 4:00 p.m., Thibodaux Police Officers were called to the 200 Block of North Canal Boulevard after witnesses reported Jarell Combre had stolen Ding Dong snack cakes from a business, and hid them in the Kleinpeter delivery truck that he was riding in.
Combre, who had marijuana on him, told Police he was picked up by his friend, Kleinpeter employee Darnell Cooper, earlier in the day. When Police confronted Cooper, who was making a delivery in the store, he denied knowing Combre; implying they had only just met.
Police were able to recover additional marijuana inside of Cooper’s Kleinpeter work truck.
Combre, 21, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Theft of Goods. Cooper, 32, was charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana.
Both Jarell Combre and Darnell Cooper were arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center where they are being held in lieu of bond.
