LAFAYETTE, LA — On February 15, 2012, the Lafayette Police Department’s Cyber Crimes Unit conducted undercover operations in an effort to locate individuals who possess, manufacture and/or distribute child pornography.

On Thursday, March 8, Lafayette Police served a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Suwanee Road.

Investigators located a computer with numerous files containing child pornography inside of the residence.

As a result of the search warrant, Ray Hatton III was arrested and charged with Pornography Involving Juveniles.

The investigation remains ongoing.
