Sheriff Vernon Bourgeois says that on Thursday, April 19, in the evening, Wayne Eric Hollins was booked into the Terrebonne Parish jail on arrest warrant charges for failure to appear in court and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

During the month of February 2012 Terrebonne Parish deputies and detectives began an investigation in reference to indecent behavior with a juvenile. Hollins is accused of making inappropriate comments and sexual advances to a teenage female juvenile. Detectives made attempts to contact Hollins in order to question him regarding the accusations. Hollis left the residence and no one knew where he could be located. There was information later provided to detectives that Hollis left the area and was staying somewhere in Baton Rouge. Detectives then obtained an arrest warrant for Hollins on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

On April 4, 2012, Wayne Eric Hollins, 57, of Schriever, La. was arrested by the Baton Rouge Police Department on the arrest warrant obtained by T.P.S.O detectives. Then, on Thursday, April 19, Hollis was transported from Baton Rouge to the Terrebonne Parish Jail where he was booked and jailed. Hollins was also arrested on a 2007 Terrebonne Parish arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for no driver's license and no license plate.

Due to the nature of this investigation there will be no further information released at this time. Anyone with information concerning this investigation is asked to call the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office detective bureau, (985)876-2500.
