Man arrested for fighting, punching Deputy while resisting arrest

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the arrest of Irvin Williams, 18, of Coleman St. in Hammond, LA.

Williams was arrested and taken into custody after he struck another subject in the face while wearing brass knuckles. Williams was identified and asked to leave the premises. While refusing to do so, Williams became uncooperative and aggressive with deputies striking one with a closed fist.

After a brief struggle, Williams was detained and taken into custody. The incident took place at a night club on Brazil Lane in Natalbany.

Williams is charged with Aggravated Second Degree Battery, Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Remaining on Premises after Forbidden.
