Iberia Parish, La — An Iberia Parish man has been arrested for calling in a bomb threat to a fast food restaurant.

On February 28, at approximately 2:00 p.m, deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a bomb threat at a McDonald's in the 900 block of W. Main Street in New Iberia.

The call was made to the directly to the business.

Detectives located the suspect, Peter Collins III, 20, at the business and took him into custody.

Collins cooperated with detectives and was then charged with Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson.

Collins was then booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
