Zachary, La (NBC33) — A Zachary man is locked up after police say he tried to kill his father with a knife.

18 year-old Frank Roberts is charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Zachary's Police Chief says Roberts stabbed his dad, 59 year-old Horace Clay in the face and neck when he was trying to break up a fight.

Clay's in critical but stable condition. Robert's is in the EBR Parish Prison.
