A Thibodaux man has been arrested for allegedly robbing and pawning stolen fishing equipment.

On May 30, a home in the 100 Block of Daisy Street in Thibodaux was burglarized, and seven rod and reels were stolen among other property.

In June, detectives learned the seven rod and reels had been pawned by Lance Ayzinne, 28, at a local pawn shop. Detectives were able to recover the property, and return it to the home owners.

Arrest warrants were secured for Ayzinne, who was arrested Monday, August 19 in St. John Parish.

Ayzinne was charged with Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Theft, and a Thibodaux City Court Warrant Failure to Appear on Theft with bonds totaling $4,500.  He was later transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center to face his current charges. The investigation is ongoing.
