Man arrested after fleeing police
BATON ROUGE, LA. (NBC33) — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the arrest of 22 year old Julian Alexander of Natalbany after he fled on foot from officers.
Alexander fled on foot after an attempted traffic stop on Highway 51. He then exited his vehicle and ran into nearby Midway Elementary School unarmed in an effort to elude arrest. He then fled into a nearby wooded area. Alexander was later apprehended after TPSO K9 Recon led deputies in the direction of Alexander.
Alexander was charged today, Sept. 9, 2011, with the following: speeding, resisting arrest by flight, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, reckless operation of a vehicle, disturbing the peace, inciting a riot, battery on a school official and a DWI offense.
