FRIERSON, LA — DeSoto Parish officials are investigating a double murder-suicide at a Frierson area home. Detectives say it happened around 1:30 this morning, Friday, May 4, when a father shot two of his children, then himself.

It reportedly happened with other people in the home after a family dispute. The home is located on Roach Lane off Highway 49 in Frierson, which is located just south of Shreveport.

Police are not releasing the names or ages of any of the victims, but school officials confirm that grief counselors are at North DeSoto Elementary this morning, where at least one of the children attends school.
