Man acts like customer before robbing Dollar General on Plank Road

Detectives are looking for a black man who robbed a discount store on August 3, 2014.

Don Coppola, a Baton Rouge Police spokesperson, says the man acted like a customer by browsing several isles at the Dollar General at 4017 Plank Road, before demanding money from the cashier at gunpoint.

The suspect was last seen leaving the store around 9:55 a.m., and is described as: a dark skinned black male, 5’5”, 130 lbs, wearing a long sleeve white t-shirt with blue pants, safety glasses and a black skull cap.

Anyone with any information on the identity of the suspect is urged to contact the Armed Robbery Division at 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
