PORT ALLEN, LA (NBC33) — The man who allegedly killed a Brusly High teen was indicted by West Baton Rouge grand jury and is formally charged with Second-Degree murder.
Marcus Richardson, 22, of Port Allen is accused of killing Justin Warner, 18, ten days ago at a gas station in Port Allen.
We're told the two are not believed to be connected to prior dealings. Investigators say Richardson was going after someone else and shot the wrong person.
Special prosecutor Tony Clayton believes this was a gang related shooting and he's moving this case along as fast as possible to send a clear message that type of activity will not be tolerated in West Baton Rouge Parish.
Richardson will be arraigned June 5, 2012. Prosecutors are seeking life in prison.
