Man accused of kidnapping ex-girlfriend, raping her

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA — A Fluker man turned himself in after kidnapping and raping a former girlfriend of his.
On September 3 at 12:30 a.m., Bobby Ray Dyson, 23, contacted a former girlfriend and stated that he was parked in her driveway and wanted to talk. When the victim exited her residence, allegedly Dyson grabbed her and forced her into his vehicle against her will.
Dyson continued to forcibly detain the victim as he drove to an unknown location north of Arcola and aggressively raped the victim.
The suspect then dropped the victim off on the side of the road several blocks away from her residence and fled.
The victim was able to walk back to her residence and contacted the sheriff’s office. Detectives were able to make contact with Dyson and advised him to turn himself in.
He turned himself in at approximately 5:00 p.m. on September 3 on the charges of Simple Kidnapping and Forcible Rape.
Dyson is in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on a $250,000 bond.
