Loranger, La — James Clinton Coats, 54, of East Prevost Lane in Loranger, has been arrested for willingly committing contractor fraud.
Coats was taken into custody on March 25 for collecting money from unsuspecting homeowners for home improvements which have never been competed.
Numerous attempts were made by the homeowner to reach Coates to no avail. The sheriff’s office has reports of Coats committing this type of fraud since 2011.
Coats turned himself in to detectives on March 25, and in a taped confession, he admitted to accepting money with the intentions of never completing the job.
