The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested six students on Friday for apparently trying to damage students and property at Live Oak His School.

According to Sheriff Jason Ard, police presented the students with evidence collected during an investigation. At that point, all of the students claimed that the incident was just a joke.

Ard says that “what was meant as a joke impacts the wellbeing of the school’s students and staff.”

Deputies did not take the incident as a joke, and they arrested six students who were reportedly involved.

The arrestees included Matthew Arnold, 17; Aaron Crow, 18; Hannah Girior, 17; as well as three juveniles under the age of 17.

A thorough investigation is still underway.
