Livingston’s new burglary division arrests two for felony theft

HOLDEN, LA — Detectives in the newly-formed Burglary Division of the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office arrested two men in connection with the theft of aluminum from Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. in Holden.
Mark Dwayne Hoyt, Sr., 32, of Holden and Richard Sterling Young, Jr., 30, of Holden are charged with 1 count each of Felony Theft.
Detectives learned that a large amount of aluminum was taken from Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. on June 28, 2012. Owners confirmed that the aluminum taken was made specifically for their company.
The value of the aluminum taken was estimated at around $3,000.00.
Other charges are expected in this case.
Hoyt remains in the Livingston Parish Detention Center. His bond has been set at $10,000.00. He is currently under a probation hold.
Young also remains in the Livingston Parish Detention Center. His bond is set at $10,553.00. At the time of arrest, Young also had 3 outstanding traffic warrants.
