Lafayette, La (NBC33) — On June 12, Lafayette Police responded to a Shop Rite regarding an armed robbery.

The clerk told officers that two black males entered the store and held her at gunpoint. After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, the suspects fled the area in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured during the incident.

Lafayette Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
