Lafayette burglar arrested after crash in Baton Rouge faces additional charges in Acadia Parish

An incarcerated 38-year-old Lafayette man has been charged for a burglary that occurred on Standard Mill Road near Rayne.

According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, information that was received from detectives with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday led to the identity of the person believed to be responsible for the September 30 burglary.

Following an investigation on Wednesday, Investigators with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office obtained a warrant of arrests for Damon H. Henderson of Lafayette.

Henderson, who is presently being held in the Lafayette Correctional Center is being charged with Simple Burglary.
