LA warehouse manager sentenced for stealing $900K in aircraft parts
Lafayette, LA (NBC33) — U.S. Attorney announced that Robert Michal Styron, 38, of Iowa, LA, was sentenced to 36 months in prison with three years of supervised release for stealing over $900,000 worth of aircraft parts. Styron was also ordered to pay $930,401 in restitution.
Styron pled guilty on July 11, 2013 to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
The U.S. Secret Service and the Lake Charles Police Department conducted the investigation. Evidence showed that while a manager at Aeroframe Services LLC in Lake Charles, Styron used his position to steal merchandise and sell it to another party. Styron reportedly engaged in this crime from February 26, 2007 to June 10, 2009.
Aeroframe is a Federal Aviation Administration/European Aviation Safety Agency certified Part 145 repair station and maintenance repair operations business.
