LA State Troopers arrest 3 Houston men on Cocaine charges
Bossier City, LA (NBC33) — Three men from Houston, Texas, were arrested by Louisiana State Police early Tuesday morning after a traffic stop lead to the discovery of cocaine.
A state trooper stopped the suspects in a van on Interstate 20, east of Bossier City.
The driver of the vehicle, Jose R. Segovia Ayala, 39, of Houston, TX, gave permission for officers to search the vehicle.
Police found about 4.5 pounds of cocaine hidden inside the van.
Troopers arrested Ayala on charges of possession with intent distribute cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
The two passengers Uriel Coria-Coria, 21, and Israel Miranda, 44, were also arrested for the same charges.
The estimated street value of the cocaine is $86,400. The suspects face up to 45 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted of these crimes.
They also face additional charges through the Department of Homeland Security.
