Mandeville, La — A teen has been arrested after allegedly threatening both students and school board officials in Mandeville.

Today, Mandeville Police initiated a criminal investigation after receiving a report from Mandeville Junior High School located at 639 Carondelet Street.

School officials alleged that a juvenile student had written threats of violence directed towards fellow students and school board officials.

The writings were confiscated by school administrators and subsequently turned over to police.

The juvenile is currently being detained. The investigation is still ongoing.
