SLIDELL, LA — Today, Monday, March 26, a joint investigation involving the Attorney General’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit (FAU) and the Slidell Police Department has led to the arrest of a fugitive in connection with a child molestation case, announced Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.
Charles F. Walker, 47, of Slidell, was wanted by the Slidell Police Department for four counts of Molestation of a Juvenile.
The Attorney General’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit conducted an investigation to assist the Slidell Police Department in locating Walker. The Attorney General’s FAU and the Slidell Police Department subsequently located and arrested Walker at a home on Mary Street in Slidell.
Walker was booked at the Slidell Police Department.
In 2008, Attorney General Buddy Caldwell established the Fugitive Apprehension Unit—a program created to assist local law enforcement agencies in locating and apprehending fugitives. To date, more than 700 fugitives have been captured as a result of Caldwell’s initiative.
