Investigation contines following I-10 pursuit and arrest

Breaux Bridge, LA — Louisiana State Police, Troop I arrested a Baton Rouge man following a pursuit on Interstate 10 yesterday morning in St. Martin Parish. The pursuit began on I-10 westbound when three suspects in a Dodge pickup continued westbound after a Trooper initiated a traffic stop.
Troopers pursued the pickup on I-10 westbound before exiting the interstate onto LA 328 at the Breaux Bridge exit. The pickup crashed into a house on the corner of LA 328 and Spanish Moss Road. The three occupants fled on foot, and Troopers pursued. Troopers located Jansen Dorsey, 20, of Baton Rouge hiding under a house near the location of the crash shortly after the pursuit ended and took him into custody, charging him with the following: flight from an officer, reckless operation of a vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, illegal possession of stolen things, careless operation, no driver's license, failure to report a crash, and speeding. Troopers booked Dorsey into the St. Martin Parish Prison.
Detectives assigned to the LSP Criminal Investigations Division, Lafayette Field Office assisted with the search and initiated an investigation to identify the additional occupants who fled. LSP Detectives are currently working with detectives from the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office to further the case.
