Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the arrest of Randall J. Holmes, 22, of Steptoe Rd. on January 16, 2012. Holmes was arrested and taken into custody for placing several false 911 calls. Deputies responded to each call for service.

After responding to the final call where Holmes threatened to cause harm to get his way and demanded to be arrested, deputies made contact with the Holmes' mother at the residence. She stated Holmes was intoxicated and needed to leave the residence. At this time, Holmes was observed standing in the living room and was instructed to exit the residence. He was also advised that he was under arrest for Criminal Mischief. After a few moments, Holmes exited the residence and became violent toward deputies, aggressively resisting arrest.

After a brief struggle, Holmes was detained and transported to the parish jail without further incident.

Randall Holmes was booked on the following charges: R.S. 14:59 Criminal Mischief for the misuse of emergency 911, R.S. 14:108.2 Resisting an Officer by force or Violence, for violently resisting arrest and attempting to strike a TPSO deputy, and R.S. 14:103 Disturbing the Peace.
