Iberville deputies make arrest in Grand River murder case

The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested Detrell Scott, 22, for the murder of 26-year-old Kye Boudreaux.

Authorities first responded to an abandoned boat in the Intercoastal Waterway near Jack Miller’s Landing. A short time later, police found a partially burned vehicle in a cane field near LA Highway 1 in Plaquemine.

Further investigation lead deputies to a camp in Grand River, where they found Boudreaux shot to death on the morning of Wednesday, May 7.

Scott was arrested for armed robbery and first degree murder.
