Houma trio arrested after murdering home invasion victim

HOUMA, LA — Three men have been arrested after killing a victim that authorities believe they had robbed.
On August 8 at around 11:45 p.m., Houma Police Officers were dispatched to a home in 500 block of Louise Street in reference to a shooting. When they arrived, officers found Vincent Andrew Naquin, 20, inside the residence, dead from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Through investigations, officers learned that three black male suspects had entered the residence, confronted the victim and shot him. The suspects then left the area in an unknown white vehicle. Police were able to recover video footage of the suspects entering and exiting the residence.
On August 10, several other victims and witnesses were interviewed, which led detectives to idetification of the three murder suspects. Kevone J. Cook, 20, and Treyvance Fanguy, 18, both turned themselves in. they were charged with Second-Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.
On August 11, LaMont James Nixon Jr., 21, turned himself into detectives and was arrested for Second-Degree Murder and Armed Robbery also.
The motive to this crime appears to be robbery. However, the investigation is still ongoing.
