A Houma man has been arrested and charged with 20-counts of pornography involving juveniles, announced Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.

Brad Hebert, 49, was arrested Friday as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, Louisiana State Police, and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Hebert is accused of violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Prison.

Attorney General Buddy Caldwell has earned a solid reputation for vigorously monitoring, arresting, and prosecuting online child predators. The Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit has investigated thousands of computer crimes such as identity theft, Internet fraud, and cyber-stalking. Yet, most of the unit’s investigations have involved crimes against children – boys and girls ranging from the ages of six-months-old to 17-years-old. Investigators have said computer-facilitated child exploitation impacts children of all races and socio-economic levels. To report suspected cases of Internet crime, call 1-800-256-4506.
