Houma, La — A man was arrested after being suspected of selling drugs in Houma.
On May 16 at around 3:30 a.m., the Houma Police Department received a call from a concerned citizen advising there was a male suspect selling drugs from a white truck on the 500 block of Polk Street.
Upon arrival to the location officers located a 1992 Chevy pickup truck parked on the street. Officers were able to locate the owner of the truck identified as Trevor Aaron Bergeron, 43.
Bergeron denied any dealing of drugs. Authorities did a exterior sweep of the truck with a K9; the dog showed a positive odor response on the exterior. Bergeron was advised of the response and refused to provide officers with the keys to the truck.
Officers soon got a search warrant; Bergeron refused to give them his keys.
Officers used a "lock jock" and conducted a search of the vehicle which revealed a clear bag containing several pieces of suspected crack cocaine, a bag of suspected powder cocaine, a razor blade used for the cutting of crack cocaine, as well as a bag of sandwich bags that were consistent with the bags that the suspected crack and powder cocaine were packaged. Bergeron also had around $400 cash in his possession that was seized.
Bergeron was charged with two counts of Possession With Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Proceeds Involving Drug Transactions and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
