HOUMA, La NBC33 — A 22-year-old Houma man is in trouble with police after allegedly skipping out on cab fare.
We're told Nicholas Pinell got a cab in the French Quarter Sunday night to drive him home to Houma. When he got to his apartment on Monarch Drive, the cab driver says Pinell made a run for it. The cab driver contacted the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's deputies say Pinell told them he didn't have the cash to pay the $250 cab fare from New Orleans to Houma. He's facing theft charges.
