Homeless man shot to death in early morning incident
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the call of shots fired around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13. When they arrived on scene, they found a man lying in the roadway with multiple gun shot wounds.
Everette Duane Crosley, 45, was taken to the Baton Rouge General in Mid-City, but he later died as a result of his injuries. We’re told he was shot twice.
The crime scene is located on North 38th Street, and Police say Crosley was shot in a grass lot located near where he was found. They say he collapsed in the roadway due to a loss of blood.
Officials say Crosley was reportedly homeless and was staying in an abandoned residence near where he was found.
Police say they have not yet identified the victim, nor have they determined a motive for this shooting incident.
