UPDATE: Arrest made in July shooting death of homeless man

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: A Zachary man is now in jail for killing a homeless man.
Baton Rouge Police spokesperson Don Coppola says detectives arrested Marlon Romaine Carter, 41, around 6:00 p.m. on July 30, 2014.
Investigators say Carter got into an argument with Charles Vincent, 59, on July 14, 2014, before Carter shot Vincent.
Vincent died later that day, at a local hospital.
Carter was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of:
- Second Degree Murder
- Illegal Use of a Weapon
Felon in Possession of a Firearm
ORIGINAL (July 14, 2014): Baton Rouge police are investigating a shooting that happened on Florida Street shortly after midnight on Monday.
The victim was identified as 59-year-old Charles Vincent. Officers say Vincent was homeless at the time of his death.
Vincent died at a local hospital shortly after the shooting.
Investigators are still unclear about details surrounding Vincent’s death.
