Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports the arrest of Bradley J. Worley, 23, in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred earlier this month.

On November 4, 2013, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a home invasion that occurred on College Point Lane in Plattenville, LA.

Responding deputies were informed that minutes earlier an unknown masked man entered the residence brandishing an assault rifle. Immediately upon entering, the suspect ordered those in the home to lie on the living room floor. The suspect then a produced a semi-automatic handgun from his waistband and fired one shot into the floor. The suspect then attacked a male subject who was visiting the residence and struck him in the head with the handgun. The suspect then ordered the victim to go outside and demanded money from him. The victim immediately unlocked his vehicle, retrieved his wallet from inside, and handed it over to the suspect. The suspect fled on foot.

The victim was later treated at a local hospital and released. The other occupants of the residence, including a four-month old infant who was sleeping at the time, were unharmed.

During the investigation into the incident detectives received information implicating Worley and obtained warrants for his arrest.

Worley was later arrested for District Court warrants for the offenses of Armed Robbery, Home Invasion, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Worley is currently incarcerated at the Assumption Parish Detention Center. Bond was set at $450,000.00.
