Holden: We need to do more

After a quiet week on Baton Rouge Streets - two incidents in as many days have once again renewed concerns about violence in the Capital City.

Baton Rouge Police Officer Richard McCloskey was shot at late Wednesday night. Police say Michael Joseph, 41, was responsbile. He's facing a list of charges including attempted murder of a peace officer. Officer McCloskey wasn't injured - though the wireless microphone he was wearing was shattered by the bullet.

Then late Friday night - police say Kayla Selder, 23, was shot while sitting in her car on the 1400 block of north 30th. She died in her car. a passenger in the car was also shot - she's expected to be okay.

Mayor President Kip Holden says it'll take a combination of new programs with the police department and the mayor's office.
