Hammond man charged in child pornography online investigation

HAMMOND, LA — On May 2, Louisiana State Police Region I Detectives arrested Robert Bertoniere, 28, of Hammond following an investigation into suspected online child pornography.
Based on proactive investigative efforts, detectives obtained a search warrant for Bertoniere’s Hammond apartment where they located and seized eight computers. As a result of the investigation, Troopers identified Bertoniere as the individual in the residence downloading images of child pornography. Upon further examination of the seized computers, Troopers discovered 14 electronic files containing images and videos indicative of child pornography.
Johnson was charged with 14 counts of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
