A 34-year-old man from Hammond was arrested after he was allegedly caught burglarizing a local business and numerous nearby vehicles.

On August 18, 2013, at approximately 10:45 p.m., deputies responded to Sweetwater Campgrounds on North Cooper Rd. in Amite regarding a suspicious unknown subject walking around the property wearing a hard hat. The subject was also seen carrying several items in his hands.

When deputies arrived, they observed a campground employee detaining a subject, who allegedly fled after being noticed.
