Grand Isle man busted after attempting to sell crack

Houma Police have detained a man on drug charges after being informed he was attempting to sell crack cocaine,

On May 14 at approximately 8:40 p.m., police were informed of a man trying to sell illegal narcotics in the area of the Twin Spans at Louise and Main Street.

When they arrived, the suspect, Ted R. Besson, 55, was walking on the Main Street Overpass.

Besson attempted to throw something away using his body to shield the action; officers later located the object - 4.4 grams of crack cocaine.

Besson was arrested for Possession With the Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine and Obstruction of Justice. He was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Jail where he was incarcerated awaiting trial or bond.
