Gonzales woman faces over a dozen drug charges following APSO investigation
Gonzales (NBC33) — A Gonzales woman is in jail following an investigation into illegal drug activity.
On June 4, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives, along with Gonzales Police Department Narcotics Detectives, investigated drug activity in the 41000 block of Turo Lane in Gonzales.
While searching the home, detectives located a large quantity of prescription pills, a half pound of marijuana, 10.9 grams of Cocaine, three grams of Heroin, 25 packs of synthetic cannabinoids, a digital scale, and close to $6,100 in cash from the residence.
Shandolan Carey, 36, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute Heroin, Cocaine, marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids, Hydrocodone, Xanax, legend drugs, Adderall, Oxycodone, Clonazepam, Ambien, possession of CDS in presence of person under 17 years of age, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At the time of the search, Carey’s under age child was in the residence and released to a family member.
Carey was transported to the Ascension Parish Jail, where her bond was set at $372,844.50.
