On February 1, a 74-year-old female’s wallet was stolen out of her purse while she was dining with her husband at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant located on Tanger Mall properties.

It is believed that the wallet stolen from her purse was accomplished while her purse was setting on the floor under her table.

The elderly female’s credit cards were used shortly thereafter at two convenience stores in Gonzales and at a Target in Baton Rouge. The suspects charged over $3,000.00 to the elderly female’s accounts.

The surveillance images provided are from the use of the stolen credit cards.

The following day, a 47-year-old female’s wallet was also stolen out of her purse while dining at the same Cracker Barrel Restaurant located at Tanger Mall on La 30 in Gonzales.

The theft of this wallet from the patron’s purse is believed to have been done while her purse was hanging from the seat which she was using. The suspects attempted to compromise one of her accounts; however, it was prevented by her financial institute.

Anyone with information pertaining to the suspects’ identities is requested to contact Crime Stoppers or the Gonzales Police Department at 225-647-9572.
